From the recording Mescalito

This song was inspired by personal experiments with mushrooms and acid, as well as the book by Carlos Castinada "the teachings of Don Juan, a Yaqui way of knowledge", in which Carlos, as a sociology student goes under the wing of Don Juan, a mexican indian.He takes many different hallucinogens to become a "man of knowledge", one who can see past the veil of "normal" life to see the undercurrent of things, and to speak with animal guides.
